You can submit your visa application at the Visa Application Centre. Alternatively, you can also submit applications online through the Immigration, Refugees and Citizenship Canada (IRCC) online application system (E-Apps).”
Can someone else submit an application on my behalf?
You may appoint a representative to submit your application on your behalf. To do so, please use Representative [IMM 5476] form. And/or VFS Global Consent Form, attaching it to your package to submit application packages/decision envelopes or collect them on your behalf.
Do I need to provide fingerprints and take a new photo for each application every time?
If you are applying for a temporary resident visa, study, and/or work permit, and you require biometrics, you need to give your biometrics only once every 10 years. However, if you are applying for permanent residence and require biometrics, you must give your biometrics every time you apply.
When I register biometrics once, how long will the fingerprint data be stored in the database?
As of July 31, 2018, biometrics are valid for ten years. If an applicant has provided biometrics in the past, they are considered valid for a period of ten years from the time of enrollment. The validity of biometrics does not extend beyond the validity of the visa or permit. Permanent residence applicants will be required to provide biometrics for each application within this ten-year period.
If you have obtained Canadian citizenship within this ten-year period, your fingerprints will be permanently deleted.
Is it necessary to submit biometrics for my visa application?
Effective July 31, 2018, biometric enrollment is a requirement for applicants applying for a visitor visa, study or work permit, or permanent residence from Europe, the Middle East, Africa, or any other country where biometric enrollment is necessary. This includes submitting biometrics and photos at the Visa Application Centre.
Is it necessary to submit biometrics at the Canada Visa Application Centre?
Effective November 3, 2018, it is mandatory to schedule an appointment for biometric enrollment at the Canada Visa Application Centre (CVAC) in Nepal. Based on your nationality, it may be necessary for you to give biometrics upon your first application.
Please note that biometric enrollment at the Visa Application Centre is by appointment only, and scheduling a convenient time slot through a well-planned visit ensures a faster service, avoiding long waiting times.
Kindly be aware that VFS Global will collect personal information directly from the applicant solely for the purpose of scheduling an appointment. In this regard, a VFS Global Consent Form will be required from the applicant.”

You can make the payment to the Canadian government for your visa application online using a credit card through IARCIC. Alternatively, you can use a Canadian bank debit card via INTERAC@ for online registration. To make the online payment to the Canadian government, please click on your payment in your bank web page.
How can I pay the Canada visa service fee?
For individual submissions or through authorized representatives, it is mandatory to submit the service fee in the form of a Demand Draft at the Canada Visa Application Centre in Kathmandu.

Once I submit my application, what can happen?
Once you submit your application to the visa application center (VAC), VAC employees will conduct a thorough completeness check in accordance with the requirements of IRCC. After that, your application will be forwarded to IRCC on your behalf. Once the visa office determines your application, they will make a decision and notify you of the outcome, or they may explain why they cannot issue a visa through a letter. Following this, the visa office will securely return your passport to the VAC, and the VAC will inform you through a convenient communication method. If your passport is ready for return, you can also check online through the Tracking system. Afterward, you can come to the visa application center to collect your passport with the visa if approved.
I need what type of visa?

How can I check the status of my application?
You can check the status of your application in the left section of this page under the “Track Your Application” tab. Click on it to easily track your application.
How can I retrieve my passport after processing?
For the return of your passport(s), you have the following options:
- Collect in person from the Canada Visa Application Centre or
- Courier return of passport(s).
Please note that service charges apply for these services. Courier fees are in addition to the Visa Fee and must be paid in cash at the Visa Application Centre. Details can be found here (provide the actual link if available).

If you wish to collect the passport on your own, you need to bring:
- The original VFS Receipt given to you when you submitted your application at the Visa Application Centre.
- Your original government-issued photo ID proof.
If you authorize a representative to collect on your behalf, they need to bring:
